Red Dead Redemption is the newest game from RockStar, they have not brought out another game since GTA4 in
2008. Red Dead Redemption use the same engine as GTA4 but it is very
different you can tell that there hjave been a lot of changes in the
last 2 years. Red Dead Redemption is the follow on from the shoot Red
Dead Revolver 6 years ago. It’s time to put on your cowboy boots and go
back to the west.
Red Dead Redemption is set in 1911 when the west is dying and the modern
world is taking over. Before the west dies you can get on your horse
and explore and look at the breathtaking environment. Explore Mexico and
the deserts around there. Take part in a revolution, find the rare and
fast horses. Look around Texas, explore the deserts and the Marshland
need the lawless outpost Thieves’ Landing then finally head north to the
Great Plains and the forests plus the snowy mountains. Each of the
environments has it’s own beauty and has its own secrets that you will
find, that’s only if you want to find them.
One of the locations, Armadillo, is the typical old western town with
the salon, the more north you go the modern it gets.
You will play as John Marson that has been forced to work for the
government against his will. They want him to take down his own gang
after trying to start a life for him self. After starting the game you
will do a few “missions” to get into the game play but soon enough you
will be able to roam about freely and when you do this you will find a
lot of different things to do. The are the “Stranger” takes, these are
when people will ask you to do things for them, like go to location or
find things some of them are a waste of time with nothing at the end for
you but if you want 100% you will have to do all 18. Saying that some
of them are interesting and I enjoyed doing them. Then there are the
Master Challenge’s. This are where you have to kill animals in certain
ways of find things, flowers and treasure, doing all of these will make
you rich in the process which is always a good things, right? Also a new
things that was not in GTA4, you can pick to be a good person or a bad
on, each has its perks. Being good you can buy things cheaper at most
stores and people will ask you for help as a bad person you might make
more money and people will fear you but with the more good things you do
the more “Fame” you will get. There are outfits to find and rare
weapons to find which will make things easier for you. There are
bounties for you as well, these are people you must find you can kill
them or take them in alive on the back of your horse, wit these you can
also get a lot of money. Also if you want to you can capture you own
horse you will get tough all of these things in the game as you carry on
with the different missions you do.
There are also a great deal of pass times in the game, there is 5.
BlackJack, Poker, Arm Wrestling, Horse Shoes and my person best Lair
Dice. In the game you will come across random events, like people trying
to steel your horse (never ends well for them) or people getting short
at and you can help them also you can save people from animals and that
is just the start. Talking about animals there are 30 types of them some
easy to kill some not so much. And to end the gang hideout these are
easy to do not a lot of work to clear them out.
I GTA if you did bad things like shooting people after losing the Police
you would have no bounty on Red Dead Redemption each time you do
something like this it will increase your bounty until you pay it off,
but it will get down on its own in time, if you don’t serve time in jail
in which you will lose all of your money or killed.
Single players is fantastic but now lets turn to the Multi-Player. When
you join you will be put into a Free Roam, which can have up to 16
players without a hint of lag, from there you can get XP or join other
game modes, Free For All, Team Death Match etc. After a while though the
MP does get a bit dull just doing the same things over and over, mainly
gang hideout to get XP but RockStar already adding more they are
putting a Co-Op in as well which that can be downloaded from PSN store
or Xbox Live Marketplace for free. Red Dead Redemption life as a game
good be very long if people stick with it.
RockStar have a Social Club. You link your account on there website and
you can look at all your stats and how far for the 100% you are and how
are in are in MP as well. It is a great things to have but I’ve been on
100% for a while and it has not updated since.
Overall this is a great game, on of the best I have played in a long
time but people might be put of with the GTA engine but trust me its
nothing like GTA, it more. I never liked GTA4 but I love this. MP could
have had more but it still good. Red Dead Redemption is on of the best
games I have played all year, it lives up to the hype unlike other game
this year.
9.0 Presentation – Menus are well thought out into the games style and
the load screens are near to non-existent
9.0 Graphics – Up close it can be a bit rough but you don’t really
notice it, most of the time you don’t get close enough to notice it. The
rest of it is just breathtaking
9.5 Sound – The sound is great, would be even better with surround
sound. You can hear animal other people shooting, truly great
10 Game Play – This never gets old. I’ve been playing for about 3 weeks
and I am still not fed up with it get, dare I say it better then GTA
10 Lasting Appeal – You could play this for weeks and still not do
everything and you wont get fed up either there is just that much to do
Overall 8.0 Worth getting

There is only one way to describe Bioshock 2’s multiplayer, and that is absolutely horrible. Without a doubt it is the worst multiplayer I have EVER played, and everybody knows how much I hate MW2’s MP. Theoretically it’s a good idea; set in the time of Rapture’s civil war, you have the command of weapons, plasmids and tonics. You can hack turrets and vending machines. You can even become a big daddy at times. Sadly, it still turns out to be awful.

Paintball This is not a game.

Hello again. I’ve been a
fan of paintball for a long time and I’ve been playing it for a long
time too and when I saw the advert for the film is was one film I had to
get and watch. The film is Spanish but don’t let that stop you seeing
it, as it is in English as well, not just dubbed which was on of the
things that would put my off seeing it. The film is every active the
characters are always running around trying to survive but more of that
later.
The director of this film was unknown to me before I saw
this a one Daniel Benmayor. The film is the brain child of Mario
Schoendorff, he wanted to me make something the views could relate to,
as the target population for the film was mainly people that do play
paintball, while not putting them off, but it was also targeted at
people that like a good action film.

God Of War 3
In The End There Will Only Be Chaos

I’ve never really been a fan of
the God Of War games but when I saw this one it look good so I did a
bit of research into it seeing if I would like it, watched videos looked
at pictures and get to demo of the PSN store and I was not disappointed
it was great and then I went out and got the game. God Of War 3 is a
game that is only on PlayStation 3, it is the last in the 3 part
trilogy. Santa Monica studios have developed the games. God of war 3 has
great graphics and a plot that will have you on the edge of your seat,
and wanting you to carry on playing until you find out what happens. In
the other GoW games (i think it's the first one) you are given the task
of killing another of the god but to do this you need to find a power
which will let you do so, so you have to find Pandora’s Box (which also
has a key part to play in GoW 3) with the power you have to kill The God
Of War Ares. As you might no in the box there is all the evils in the
world but it was closed in time to keep hope in, the people at Santa
Monica have played with this a bit, anyway the evils have infected the
Olympian gods turning them evil but as you kill then the world gets
worse.
The story is set in a brutal realm of Greek mythology.
You will play as Kratos, an ex Spartan warrior . He is out for his
revenge on the Gods of Olympus, after the death of his family all Kratos
wants it revenge and this consumes him through out the game but there
is one person in the game that Kratos does care about and this one
person helps him to get his revenge, you do find out that it was just
for person gain though. There is another that Kratos also grows feeling
for Pandora herself. At the start of the game he has no need of her but
then he finds out he does need her to get to the box. To get to where
Kratos need to get to he needs to do a lot as before he can get to Zeus,
there are a lot of other Gods in the way as well, including Zeus’s
brothers Poseidon and Hades also his son Hercules, there are others that
you will recognise. With each new god that Kratos or you will kill
there will be something left by them called Godly Possessions, these can
help you thought out the game but some you will have to wait until you
have finished it to use them.
The environment in this game is
very very good, it looks beautiful. Even when you first start playing
the game you can tell that there has been a lot of work been put into
it. The scale of it as well is just incredible. You can really tell the
size of the environment and this is in all of the places you will be
taken in the game, all the environments but this is nothing new for game
of this type and only on the PS3 look at Uncharted for example.
There
is a wide rage of baddies you will come across. There are the basic
warriors with no armour making them very easy to kill as you get more
into the game and get more upgrades for weapons and more weapons. You
will get the warriors with armour and ones with both armour and shields
which you will have to break first so you can damage them. There are
also the classic mythological baddies as well, the first one you might
come across will be Gorgon (the same thing Medusa is) there will be a
few of them but they are easy to kill. There are Mentors, there will be
ones with out armour and some with and bigger weapons and then there are
the Cyclops as well armoured and un-armoured, the armoured ones will
have better weapons as well
Then there are the God, like I’ve
said before you will have Zeus, Poseidon, Hades and Hercules but you
will have others to Hermes and Kronos and the main others ones you will
have to fight but there are a few others that are very easy to kill.
The
game play is good but can get very repetitive at time but you can mix
it up with different moves and the different weapons can make a change
as well but I found the best one is the one you start off with. There
are other things that will split up the combat, there are puzzles you
will need to solve to more on some times but this is not often. I liked
it as it different from anything else I have and I enjoyed it a lot and I
think others will do to.
There is no multiplayer for God Of War 3
but I don’t think it really needs one there is a lot to do and find,
Titan mode will keep you playing for a long time just trying to kill the
bosses takes a while and then there is the challenge of Olympus which
has a wide range of things to do and different ways you have to over
come each one like only using your hands to kill some enemies which are
hard enough with weapons.
Just for you people that might not no a
lot of Greek Mythology I’ll fill you in with what I no as you will need
to no a bit for the game. The Titans ruled before the Zeus and his
brother did the main Titan was Kronos the father of Zeus and his
brothers. Zeus, Poseidon and Hades started a war with the Titans. The
war was finally won on the Plain of Tatarus when the Titan’s
surrendered. Kronos and the other titan’s were left here for a
punishment for the war. What happened to the other Titans is unknown.
This is when Zeus and his brother took control of the world.
But
is this really the end of the GoW games after getting all the trophies
you will be given a website not a lot on it just a picture of rain
falling. Every 10 days it changes. There is a bar in the top right that
fills up a quarter each time, this has a lot of people wondering what it
mean. Could it be a teaser trailer? Or could it mean nothing?
Overall
the game is very good, hours of fun. It also has a story line you can
get into to and want to no what happens and if you want some trophies
there are some really easy ones but if you are willing to explore the
whole game there is a lot to do.
7 out of 10

A remake of the 70s flop funnily enough of the same name
and originally directed by the infamous Romero this film barely does
the 1st justice. Set in the modern day town of Ogden Marsh Iowa the
film does'nt waste time in mixing the action up and its only minutes
before the bullets are flying.
Timothy Olyphant plays the lead
and its a role which he does well as the film follows him as the
sherriff of a rapidly infected town, together with his wife and a few
others they embark on a well acted escape and survival plot from what i
like to call "Los Locos"(sounds cooler),one by one the cast gets no
remorse as they're quickly picked off in some fairly original ways mixed
in with that is an imposed military marshal law and quarantine where
they round everyone incuding the infected into a flimsy fenced
compound,(honey+nuts+dog=pain,or results there of)
