Kettlebells are great for working out, so much can do without needing loads of space.

My workout today:

Go out on to the track... run like her daddy has a shotgun. 2 miles, no breaks.

Wasn't a great time. 17:35.

Track is 1/4 mile per lap. Each lap ranged from 2:03 to 2:16

Not a passing time on the APFT though. In the 17-21 male bracket, a passing score is at 15:54. Max score is 13:00.

The run is the only portion of the test I'm not passing to full standard. I'm not required to pass it until after Basic Training, but it certainly wouldn't hurt anything if I can pass it before I get there.

Not extremely happy with that 2 mile time, but that's why we work out.

Ah I see, in that case then interval training is quickest way to get that down.

When you going for basic training? And what's your current training program?

Ship date is June 8th.

Not sure what program is in effect. I use the school weights class to get a work out, that way I can get in every day without any schedule conflicts. They have their workouts categorized by sports, so I half do those, half do what I think I need to do.

Monday I had the 2 mile run, Tuesday I did 2 sets of 20 pushups, slow jog 1/4 mile to work out muscle soreness, 2 sets of 20 pushups, 1/4 mile, then 2 sets of 20, and a fore arm workout, then today I alternated between pull-ups and various ab exercises.

Just came off Spring Break, so I'm feeling all the exercise I didn't do.

Ok, well firstly stay out the weights room its not really gonna help, save it for when you get to your unit. Secondly, lots of HiiT based training.

Mon - pft/HiiT cardio - intervals, hill reps, fartlek, tempo runs
Tue - circuit - endurance based
Wed - cardio - long distance run
Thursday - circuit - strength based
Friday - swim - recovery
Sat/Sun - rest

Complete a pft every other week on the monday, no point every week as won't much improvement.

If you have access to kit I'll post up workouts I run each day, if not plenty of apps to help with the circuits.
