I wonder which FPS will be the first to have the balls to ditch the AK47 and bring in a more recent model... Granted, it may be more suitable for a militia et al as it\'s probably the most common model, but...

Techincally the AK-74 is the upfated verison, the newiest verison is the AK-103 which is just a refitted 74

I have to say, I hate the Kalashnikov AR series. Not sure why. Mostly, I just hate the AK47. Don\'t mind the SMG variants like the AKS-74u, or even the rip-offs like the Zastava. Don\'t know what it is about the AK47... But I hate it.

It doesnt make sense to ditch the ak47 for this game just cause thats what the taliban etc are using since they are readly availiable and also ammo is abundant for them unlike the ak-74 series where ammo is not as availiable. Also bc2 did a wonderful job of using the new ak variants which is nice to see.

The 74U is not an smg but a carbine model hate when games list it as an smg.

Strange, I\'ve seen it classified as both in a firearms encyclopedia.

Well it is used in a submachine type roll but it fires an intermediate rifle round and smgs fire pistol rounds.

Add the M60 LMG to the US side, i would guess its the RPD for the Taliban, but cannot confirm it
