Just got ME3

Just got ME3

Okay, I bought ME3 earlier today, and I have been through some of the multiplayer. I didn't really check the campaign because I honestly have never played a mass effect game before. The multiplayer is fun though, I have been using the Adept and Infiltrator. I got the Drell Adept from a pack, and a few other characters which I forget their names. I also got a N7 gun, ill have to update on which one it is, all I know is that it's a 2 round burst weapon that kills really quick. But I'm here to ask if there's any tips you can give me? I've only played bronze so far, and I'm not very happy with how fuckin annoying geth is.

Guns at the start generally aren't that great, although you might be in a slightly better position than I was considering you've already got an N7 gun (sounds like the Valkyrie from your description - definitely use that for the time being). On Bronze one gun will probably be enough, so if you want to use your powers more regularly then I'd only carry the one gun, as carrying 2 increases your weight, meaning that powers will cool down slower. Check out JLoco's character loadouts and Musashi's Beginner's Guide to Co-op here viewforum.php?f=295. Loco's gives you advice on which powers to improve for certain characters, and Musashi's give some advice on how to deal with different enemy types.

As an infiltrator I'd make heavy use of the cloak power, especially if you manage to get a half decent shotgun. Never really used an adept though, so I'm afraid I can't offer you any advice there. Geth aren't so bad compared to the other enemy types. All of the others have units that can kill you instantly if you get too close to them, but from what I can remember Geth don't have that. Just make good use of cover against the rocket units and watch out for Geth hunters. They cloak themselves, but you can spot them while they're cloaked.

To start with I'd focus on buying the two least expensive packs, and the equipment packs (the ones that only give you things like missle launchers, medi gel, ammo mods and so on). Then try saving up for a Premium Spectre pack, Arsenal pack or another expensive one to try and get a better gun/character to use.

Also, play the single player! It's good, although you may benefit at times from having played at least ME2.

Thanks man! That helps me a lot! I'll give the Geths a try again and I'll have to try for an expensive pack. I also definitely need an arsenal pack. Cause all I get is character training cards which I personally feel I don't need.

If you think that multiplayer is good, wait until you try singleplayer. I would recommend playing the first and second games before trying the third one because you will have a better experience. I made the mistake of playing the trilogy backwards. When i got to the first game, i already knew what was going on and it wasn't as exciting as it should have been. The first one costs $15 and the second one is $20, both have a few DLCs included.

Man, I forgot I wrote that beginner's guide. It's very outdated now, with so many more character classes available and different enemies to fight. The Drell Adept is a good character class to have, his Reave ability is useful and it doesn't matter as much with this class if you don't have very good weapons. Believe me I know, I have shit luck with weapons.

You definitely ought to play the other games. I started with the second game and finished with the third because of that sodding exclusivity deal but you have the advantage of being able to start right from the beginning. The story is genuinely outstanding, deep enough that were it any other medium it would receive international acclaim. The combat in the first game is naff, though.

Okay just an update on my weapons... I have available to me:
N7 Valkyrie
M-3 Predator
M-13 Raptor
M-97 Viper
M-92 Mantis
M-8 Avenger
M-4 Shuriken
M-23 Katana
M-22 Eviscerator
M-5 Phalanx

My character I've been using is Quarian Infiltrator but I also have:
Asari Vangaurd
Asari Adept
Drell Adept

Personally I've been enjoying the Quarian only because I like taking over those fuckin turrets, and that cloak is awesome for those objectives, especially the enabling devices one.

PS: thanks everyone for the info on the single player, I'll have to buy the original and the second and play them first :)

How the fuck do you already have more characters than me? Does the RNG hate me that much?

Lmfao seriously?? xD I think it's just cause they give me a character every single time I use a veteran pack. I hate it though cause I want to get upgrades for my weapons and whatnot. I want a level 10 Predator badly just to pistol whip all the butthungry reapers hahaha

I actually have a couple more but there's not much variety in what I do have. Krogan soldier, couple of Turians, Drell Adept and Salarian Engineer. Factor in the amount of time I've played though, and... Well, shit. .

Can't say I rate the Predator, the Phalanx will serve you better.
