VGM Remixed

They were in the middle of rereleasing it for Xbox Live 4 years ago. They just needed a publisher. Not sure how that went. It's by the Bitmap Brothers. They brought out Speedball 2 & Z again not too long ago, so hopefully we might see Chaos Engine as well. Fingers crossed. It plays much better in co-op than single player.

Ok, this isn't a remix but a remastering, but still, its pretty awesome:

Nice, shall have to download it. Try this out

Also look back earlier in the thread for the fifth remix posted, if you haven't already seen it. Markedly different in tone to this one.

Nice. I was about to rip someones head off for ruining FF music with metal(I don't even really like the Black Mages), but it works well with that song. Another remastering:

Square really needs to hire the guy who made this one(he has a number of them) if they ever remake VIII(wish that was a when instead of an if).

The Oath is one of my favourite tracks, but to be honest that sounded very similar to the original track. I shall definitely check out his channel for his other stuff though.
Man, an FFVIII remake would be perfect. I still don't by the BS that remaking old FF games would be too expensive.

This one is a true remix instead of just a remastering:

And yeah, "too expensive" is a load of shit. If you can create a game primarily for PS3 like with XIII and XIII-2, you can handle updating an old game.

Well, they usually point to things like the world map and say they wouldn't be able to recreate it. And in fairness you don't have one even from X onwards, not an explorable one like in the PS1 games. But to that, I call bull. I mean, jesus, look at some of the open world games we have today. An old infographic shows Just Cause 2 as having 20 square miles of open world, and that's most likely since been surpassed. Its not like they'd even need to put in a huge amount of added detail or anything given how zoomed out the map is. Just improve the textures and give us some nice character models. Granted, giving the VII characters the HD treatment could be odd because their sprites were super-deformed but it doesn't hold with VIII and IX.

I shall listen to the track tomorrow as it is rather late here :-D
