Glad I'm not the only one who isn't pleased with the new MGO

Might just have to write a review

I haven't played it in awhile I don't really enjoy it, but I'll probably keep playing single player cause I wanna get 100% on it and maybe unlock some cool secrets I missed.

The previous MGO was certainly the better game. My thoughts on the new game.

Pros:
Being able to fulton your enemies for maximum points rather than being forced to kill them.
Being able to tag enemies.
In game voice chat without causing huge lag.
Option to interrogate enemies for their allies locations is fun.
Even more fun with cardboard boxes as well as some pretty cool strategic ways you can use them.
Sprint function adds to the game.
Cuddly toys are a fun replacement for porn mags.
Option to give your weapons a custom paint job is nice.
Option to create your characters face are much better compared to last time.
Placement of objectives (CDs) changes from game to game keeping things fresh.
Day and night cycle of maps is nice.
One hit stun with CQC is good but I think stun time should be reduced slightly.

Cons:
Walker Gears are terrible, at least let us turn them off.
No ability to switch teams even when teams are uneven due to people leaving mid game..
No option to name privately made games.
Only able to make a cycle of 5 different games compared to far more in the original.
CDs are a boring replacement for the duck and frog.
No sign of being able to create clans now.
No sign of tournament games at this point.
Infiltrator class having a stealth suit, particularly unfair for the sneak team in Cloak & Dagger mode.
Less customisation for what your character can say this time around.
Less clothing items to choose from.
No ability to sing this time.
No text talk.
Hero characters are fun but too overpowered.
Instant fulton weapons need tweaking, an option to shoot the balloon with your own sidearm if you've not been stunned first would be much more fair I feel.
Needs a mode similar to Snake mode again where he steals dog tags from opposing teams. Hero mode? Something interesting. The first game ended up with at least a dozen different game types, this has 3.

-----------------

I hope some of the cons will be addressed in updates and patches, time will tell.

Yeah the walker gears are awful and so unfair and it would be bad if their heads was exposed for a heads hot but if they know how to use it then you can really get around them and that dessert map is hard to do it cause it's so open no room for cover to get the people on walkers.
The stealth suit was a decent idea but if you go up against a party they will all use them and Fulton you after a ko and to me that's cheap but good on them but you can't see them which is wrong it shouldnt last that long.
I hate the custom character they don't feel personal to me and mgo2 had so much it seemed and so much to unlock
The humor isn't there like the singing and stuff though the toys are adorable it lacks the comedy mgo2 hit so well.
I haven't played much which is weird cause I was so hyped for it and I loved mgo2 and put so many years it seemed like into it and never got tired but this already ran it's course imo and that really sucks even the single player mode is hard to replay thru but I loved ground zeroes why?? Lmao

Wow it looks like they really listened to the community about this and fixing problems. I like that the stealth people appear when taking damage cause it wasn't very fair how they could slip away way to easily. I wish they would eliminate the walker gears but just gotta learn to work around them.

I'm just glad team mates can't shoot people I'm trying to fulton. It still baffles me people do this shit. Spend 2 minutes trying to stun and capture a +12 bounty and finally get him and a team mate shoots him. FUCKER I died so many times trying to get him out of that walker and ughhhhhhhhhhhh.

Like in mgo2 where you would have someone in cqc and they take a free headshot lol I hated that xD

That was eventually what forced me off the public servers. Couldn't take it anymore.

Storytime. One of my last public matches was I think was Rescue mode, where you had to protect GAKO/Kerotan against a team equipped with stealth. I was on the defending team. We'd had a tight match, and by the end, only three players were left standing. Myself, a teammate, and one attacker. I was watching over one area while he presumably watched another, when suddenly, Kerotan was taken. I ran over to the enemy's drop point, and managed to spot him just in time.

My handgun had ran out of ammo at that time, and with the close range, I didn't want to miss with my sniper rifle and alert him. So I ran up and managed to grab him in CQC. We're literally less than a meter from the drop point, I barely got him in time. I started to choke him out, when my teammate runs up. I see him raise his assault rifle, because of course he's going to try and steal the kill.

Only, he misses. He hits me in the face, and being already wounded, I drop down dead. He's now got a lock on his rifle. My target just picked the frog up from where it landed, next to my very angry corpse, and took three steps forward and won the game.

I was not pleased.

Story does sound familiar, unfortunately there are a lot of greedy idiots on public servers. It's a shame they have to completely turn off friendly fire because of a few fools who refuse to work as a team. They really should turn off being able to look up k/d ratio in objective based games, it only encourages this sort of behaviour.

I don't mind the thing of being shot by a team mate if it is accidental cause it adds a little to the realism and how you have to be careful and respectful of your team, but at the same time people like to team kill and you can't control them but there should be a vote system in mgo3 to kick people right?
